Happy Halloween

Is it just me or do you feel this way....For the past month everytime I go the grocery store I encounter something that looks like this.
Of course I have to walk down the isle drooling as I think of what candy I should pass out tonight. The kicker is that I don't now how many kids will come to our home on halloween night so what is leftover goes to you know who : ) We always end up with so much candy I don't quite know what to do with it... Kimbie an idea for you and Christian in the news paper a local Dentist paid the kids to bring in their Halloween candy by the pound. I had a lady tell me that a few kids every year go out and get as much candy as they can to see who can make the most money from the Dentist : ) This year he is giving out prizes....I wonder how many pounds of candy he ends up with and what he does with it??? Just a idea.....I am sure he is the one who gives out toothbrushes to all the kids each year....lol Have a happy and safe Halloween !!!!

A Tribute to my MOM

Mom
You are the most amazing woman to me. I have sat back and watched you accomplish so much throughout your life. You are the person I look up to most in my life and rightly so. You through your great example have taught me to be the woman I am today. You are strong, noble, wise, loving and much much more. You are a beautiful person who cares for all around her. Today as I celebrate your birthday and the great mother you are I celebrate you. I sometimes just want to call and talk or wish I could live closer so we could go for walks or even just come by and say hi. Sometimes it's hard to be so far away but I know that you are just a phone call away. I love you so much MOM.... THANKYOU for my life....THANKYOU for all you do for me...THANKYOU for being my mom...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Getting ready for winter

This weekend was spent doing the last of the yard work before winter comes. Owen spent the day Friday clearing out his garden area for next year... Seth was a big help to Owen while mowing the lawn... I think he felt like a BIG boy : ) Thanks Seth for your hard work... Friday night Chance and Linda let our kids stay the night so Owen and I went and got dinner at the Burger Bar in Roy (they had it on Owens favorite tv show dinner drive-ins and dives) and then watched a movie here at home... Thanks Chance and Linda that was a much needed date... It was sad to think Owen and I haven't gone out on a date for about 5 or so months... Saturday Mitchell, Seth and Owen spent the morning helping Chance and Linda with their yard work... Linda took Mitchell and Seth to get a candy and Bug juice for helping her out and they loved that... Mitchell spent most of the day chopping wood... Then we had a BBQ for lunch at the Prices and it was yummy!!! We had the Prices over for some good homemade pizza and to watch the UFC fights... They were free this weekend which was even better... Today Mitchell woke up sore (poor boy)... I am thankful I have boys that are hard workers and are willing to help out... Thanks boys!!!! Love you!!!!

The Story Of My Life...

Let me just say for the last three weeks so much crap has happened to us... All three of our cars broke with in days of each other, one of the kids turned off our freezer and all our meat went bad, Noah broke our downstairs shower door off and it can't be replaced, someone broke the back screen door, our bathroom downstairs got flooded with a leak under the sink, every bill we pay in a month except for 2 came due by the 15th and to top it all off tonight someone stole Owens gas out of his truck while he had it parked in a parking lot where he meets his carpool..... What the heck!!!!! How messed up is that..... This always happens when I make changes.... I wanted to be home with the kids after school so I am only working until 2:45... I gave up money for the sake of motherhood.... I know it was the right thing to do but things have to get worse before they get better.... On the good note-(this is for you mom: )-The only thing bad is money right now just like the rest of the world but we have a great home that we can pay for and good cars to get us around as soon as they are fixed, we have food always to eat and keep us healthy, we have a warm house while it snows out side and a cool house in the summer heat, we have good kids who love each other and take care of one another, all the kids are doing great this year in school and have made good friends, we have a great family who loves us always, we have a great ward family who is all around us, we have a great Dad and Husband who loves us and does his best to support us, we have a good Mom and Wife ( me ) who would do anything for us, we have all our needs met always, the blessings we recieve when we go through the trials of life are countless.... Most of all we have a Father in Heaven who loves us so much that no matter how bad things get if we look to him he will always find a way to help us.... So through the storms of life always know that we are never alone it's only a trial of our faith and we together can over come anything no matter how sever the strom of life may be.... Well that right there is THE STORY OF MY LIFE....

Life's Not Fair

I remember reading this awhile back on my sisters blog and I am feeling this way tonight... I couldn't write it any better... My heart is breaking tonight and I wish I knew what to do... Just know that I love you with all I am and together we will get through it all!!!!! I am here for you always!!!!!

Life's Not Fair...

I have been thinking a lot this week about someone who I love very dearly, who is going through probably one of the hardest times in her life. It seems as though even though her heart is in the right place, and she is trying to do the right things, everyone is against her, and her world seems to be crashing in around her. I wish I could tell her that it was all going to be okay, that things would work out, that everything would be different. Somehow, it's not that easy. For some reason, sometimes people suffer, and it's because of other people. It makes me sad, and I feel like it isn't fair--that sometimes we suffer because of other people's free agency. It makes the Lord sad too, I'm sure. To see someone, his child, struggle, and cry, and hurt because of something she can't control.

The fact is, God watched as his Son was hurt by people, again and again The only comfort that we have sometimes is to know that He does know our struggle and He knows our pain. Sometimes that is all we have to hold on to. I have never known the suffering, and the struggles that this person is going through. I hope I never will. But I want her to know that I am praying for her. I am also praying for those that are hurting her, that their hearts will be softened, that they will change their hurtful ways. I wish I could do more, I wish I could take the pain away, I wish I could explain why these things happen, but I can't. All I can do is pray, pray that she will be able to hold on to her faith, and hold on to the hope that with God, nothing is impossible. He can heal the hurt that you feel, he can take your pain away, he understands you, and he loves you more than you will ever know. Put your trust in him, and pray to him, and you will feel his love for you, I know you will.

My parents used to always tell me that life wasn't fair. It wasn't until I grew up that I realized what they really meant. Life really isn't fair. We never know what is going to hit us, what trials we will be called on to face, or what trials our children will face. For someone like me, who is a control freak, I have such a hard time putting my trust in someone else. I want to be in complete control of my life, of my circumstances. But then I wouldn't need God, would I? The truth is, He sees the bigger picture. He sees the end result. He sees that trials make my faith stronger. He sees that in the end I will be a better person because of the things I have gone through in this life, even the hard things. Especially the hard things.

Hang in there--Hold on--and know that you are never alone, even though sometimes it seems that way. I love you.

The third group we learned how the water flowes from the tops of the mountains down into the rivers around us.
