YUMMY HOMEMADE APPLE PIE

Owen went with Linda on Saturday to pick some apples and so we had to make some YUMMY homemade apple pie and this was our finished pie... It was so good so tonight for family night we decided to make some apple cobbler... Can't wait

This is what you get when you buy a house from the 1950s... Welcome to our home projects...

This is what the family room looked like before... It had this wood panel throughout the whole basement... This is the boys bedroom till we remodel it...
This is what the family room looks like now...

Mitchell will have his own room when we finish this remodel

Owen was adding a bedroom to the basement till he decided he wanted it on the other side of the room to add a bigger window... So this is our basement now doesn't it look fun... I think we will start to work on it again after Christmas if Owen is able to keep his job... Mitchell thought it would be a fast project... He was super excited... He really has no idea and then I told him they would all have to share his bedroom when we start the rest of the remodel on the basement bedroom and bathroom... He was disappointed-I can't wait to get working on it again and see it finished... Owen is so good about this he does everything on his own-I just love that he is such a hard worker... In the years to come we will have this house how we picture it and it will be perfect for us as we grow old-but getting their is another story... This is one of my stories and it's all about oil based paint and man is it a PAIN... So I was out of town for a few days and Owen decided to surprise me and paint the bathroom so he knowing now that we have oil based paint sanded the whole bathroom and then painted it and this is what it looks like now... *What the heck*

I painted Jiselle's bed room a few months ago and this is what it looks like now...

I had no idea we had oil based paint throughout our house when I painted her room-but then the bathroom... Come on... The paint is just peeling off and with kids they help it a little every few days... I think this could drive me CARZY.... *Home projects aren't they fun* When be bought this house we could see the potential of it's cute charm but getting there is sure a lot of work... In the years to come I will post our pictures and stories of our home makeover fun... Welcome to the Causey home projects and wish us luck...

Do I Have To Do This Again???

I just had this little surgery done on my foot about 4 or 5 months ago and this stupid thing grew back again... Can you believe that... Same place and all-so I now have to go get this same surgery done again next Tuesday... The only problem is I know how bad it hurts and the shot the DR. put right up through the middle hurt so bad it just about took me right up off that table...
So I have put it off now a little to long because it hurts to walk again and feels like I am walking on a rock but it's in my foot... OK I have cried enough-poor me-Wish me luck...

Office Halloween Party

On Saturday we went to a Halloween party at one of my co-workers house... It was tons of fun!!! The kids had a blast and I can't even remember the last time Owen and I had dressed up... We had a good laugh all night - We ate some really yummy food and played bingo and each one of the kids won a prize so they all came home hyper and happy... I am so glad that I have the job that I do and that they can welcome me and my family as if we have hung out forever... Here are some of the pictures enjoy... HAPPY HALLOWEEN

FAMILY NIGHT

Family night is one of my favorite nights ever... I look forward to Mondays just to plan something fun for us to do... The kids had a blast frosting pumpkin cookies tonight and the best part was eating them... YUMMY!!!

Noahs PlayOff Game

We all met at a store and drove up to Layton in a line... It was such a sight to see about 15 or more cars in a line all in support of our boys... It was fun to pull into the parking lot one by one till we all parked... The boys thought it was AWESOME... They were so pumped up and excited for this game and wanted to win so bad... They played hard but lost 30 to 8... The undefeated team they played kicked our booty... But we scored on them the first team to score on them all season... Way to go BEES... Noah you are AWESOME!!!!

CEREAL GALORE

This was the most AWESOME deal... We had cereal on sale for 4 for $10.00 and a 6 $ off coupon so they ended up to be $1.oo each... I bought almost 40 boxes.... My kids are in heaven... I just love to find good sales and this one is one of the BEST.... I now have a better food storage-YA

ksl.com - Rocket company cuts 550 jobs

ksl.com - Rocket company cuts 550 jobs

This has just been a real stressful year for us-We have now gone through 2 sets of layoffs in the last 5 months and it just really breaks my heart to see others struggle with the loss of a job. We have truly been blessed because Owen has made it through both of them but on the other hand-Owen is watching his friends and others get walked out... I think now they have let 1050 or so employees go and more to come in January and then again in April... Owen said it feels like being at a funeral. It's so hard to think that we will be doing this again in January... I dread the day to come when we are not so lucky... I think that the only thing that keeps us going is our faith that no matter what happens the Lord will help us get through it... Even with that knowledge I am still really fearful of that day... To all who are living this life just know that my heart goes out to you... I know what it's like to live just to make ends meet and I know what it's like to come up short... I am so thankful for the ward we are in and their concerns for us... Thank you for everyone who has prayed for us... It is so wonderful to know that we have people around us who really do care... Thanks to my family who listens to my worries and lets me talk out my frustrations over the phone... I am so glad to have such a great family... I love you!!!
