Just so you know, I don't live on this stuff very often. Really I have only had two in my life, both within the month. My new life has brought me to needing a little help from what's called RED BULL. I will tell you that it does its job. Let me just take you into the life of Wendy. It is Wednesday and I woke up at 6:30 to do my first job and get the boys off to school, then woke up my two youngest to get them ready. 7:50 comes around, I drop them off to school and head off to work my second job while eating some kind of breakfast bar. I start to clean the Bird Refuge at 8:00 a.m. and finish up around 1:30-2:00 in the afternoon. I had lunch and head out to pick my kids up from school at 3:00. This is where my first job starts again. I cleaned the house, did the laundry, home work with the kids, made dinner, cleaned up dinner, got the kids ready for bed, read scriptures, say prayer and tuck them in by about 9:00 p.m. Finish up anything I need before I get ready for my third job at the hotel as a night auditor. I left for work at 10:50 at night and got off at 7:15 the next morning. It is now Thursday I came home to get the kids ready and off to school by 8:00 a.m. Then got ready for a meeting I had in Salt Lake. Left to Salt Lake at 8:30 a.m. and sat in a meeting all day till 4:00 p.m. Got home at 5:30 p.m. This is when I started my first job again. Home being the Mom. Dinner, home work and everything else I needed to do. One small thing-I have yet to fit in any sleep-So with a little help from vitamin B-12 and a RED BULL to help me get through my day awake, I finally got to bed at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday night, to wake up Friday and catch up on homework. I know that it's not really just the help of the vitamins or the red bull that got me through my crazy days, but it's by the help and tender mercy of the Lord to give me the strength to do what I am here to do and that is to care for my family. I have been blessed to not only have one job right now, but two. When so many around me can't for the life of them even find one. We know first hand how hard that is. So as I may find it really hard some days to do both jobs and care for my family, I know how truly blessed I am and I don't take that for granted. Thursday night as Owen and I sat out on the porch he turned to me and asked, "Did you ever think our life would be this crazy?" I looked at him and said, "no." When I think back to my life as a newly wed I knew we had some really hard times ahead of us. We were married at the young age of 18 and started our family just five months later. The life we have had and the trials we have gone through have been for us just amazingly hard. I have been to the land of (WHY ME?) through out a lot of those trials even though I know better. I have also been to the land of (WHY DO MY CHILDREN HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS?) I know looking back on our trials each one has affected us differently. We have grown so much closer as individuals and as a family because of them. Owen and I are not even close to being the same two young 18 year old newly weds. We are not even the same people we were a year ago, because of his lay off and my kids aren't the same kids either. I can tell you that I know we are here for a reason. We each have a purpose here on earth and that all the hard things we have to do each day to get by will only make us stronger. I know that I rely so much on the Lord to get me through my day by day challenges. People tell me all the time that I'm amazing, but I just tell them that I'm really just CRAZY. I live my life each day for my family and I would do anything for them. If I had to I would get another job tomorrow. I am here to do my best as a MOTHER and raise the most beautiful four children in the world. Teaching them right from wrong and raising them to be Christ like, putting all their trust in the Lord. Owen and I are raising future missionaries, teachers and leaders of this gospel. As parents we have a huge responsibility, one that I rely totally on the Lord for guidance. As a working student called mom I know Satan gets in my head and makes me question myself whether I'm doing all I am here to do and some times making me feel like I am not good enough or not doing enough. He makes me feel down on myself, but I know that it's not true. The Lord is my cheerleader and do you know what he is telling me and all of you? DON'T YOU QUIT - JUST KEEP GOING - YOU CAN DO IT - JUST HAVE FAITH AND I WILL HELP YOU - THERE ARE GOOD THINGS TO COME - We are not alone. Through the hardest days, weeks, months, or even years. We are never alone. JUST HAVE FAITH AND DON'T YOU EVER QUIT!!!
